QuickBooks as
accounting application has been a first choice within small and medium business
because of the ease of handling complications in bookkeeping and excellence in
reporting. Since it is an application, it requires a platform to work which is
called operating system (OS). It can be Mac or Microsoft Windows which has
periodic version changes and system updates. Due to those changes QuickBooks
application get affected while using the operating system files and generates
errors or issues. After the OS updates or version changes QuickBooks also comes
up with QuickBooks Updates to
counter the changes to streamline the Bookkeeping as usual for the users. Those
updates are created as per the issues raised by the billions of QuickBooks
users.
What cause QuickBooks Error
Code: 80029c4a –
Error code: 80029c4a get generated due to
corrupt system file of QuickBooks or OS which is used while opening QuickBooks.
This error can also appear if the desired file is missing or deleted due to
major OS related update or at times it is also been seen after antivirus
software has quarantined OS system files and reported system files infected.
This has also reported after QuickBooks
2016 release R9 update.
Fixing QuickBooks
Error: 80029c4a –
REBOOT.BAT – QuickBooks Error: 80029c4a gives an OK prompt and after clicking
on the button it shows the name of required or corrupted DLL file which is not
that relevant. We need to close and exit out of QuickBooks and restart the
computer. After restart when the system reaches desktop, Right click on
QuickBooks icon on the desktop and select “Open File Location”. It will open
the QuickBooks folder under Program files, locate the Reboot.bat batch file and execute it. This is going to close all
the active instances of QuickBooks and
re-registers all the DLL files required to work with QuickBooks. Reopen
QuickBooks and check for the error.
QuickBooks
Repair – If
still facing error then close QuickBooks and click on Windows Button then open
Control Panel click on Uninstall or Change Program, under the list of programs
select QuickBooks and click on Uninstall/ Change. Select Repair on QuickBooks installation window and
click on Repair at the bottom. After completion of Repair process, click Finish
and then Restart the computer. Now Open QuickBooks and check it is working
normally.
